WSOP Main Event Rakeback Contest
FullTiltRakeBack’s $60,000 Rake Race for the WSOP Main Event seat that started in February wasn’t won in a day or a few weeks or a few hands. The race entailed complete dedication, thought, planning, and the will to keep ‘the good thought’ for a total of four months. That’s what Lubo “crazydonk inc” did. Needing to rake over $60,000 in February, March, April, and May, Lubo played on, even after becoming ill in March and losing six to seven days of play and then hitting a bad run in the first part of April, Lubo decided to take it one week at a time.
Being a financial analyst and a mathematician, he laid everything out before undertaking the project to decide if the value was there—it was. Lubo is a winning poker player through note taking, using Holdem software, bankroll management, and his ability to play with a set rule of discipline that he doesn’t vary from. Lubo says, “Yes, my goal has always been that rakeback is nice to have but you shouldn’t need to have it.”
Lubo is in Las Vegas now, ready to play for the ultimate poker championship, the Main Event of the WSOP, starting July 5th, 2010, thanks to the Rake Race contest provided at FullTiltRakeBack.
