The Action Heats Up with The Tom “durrrr” Dwan Challenge
At Full Tilt Poker, excitement is ever-present and the action never ends, just like the highly unprecedented challenge made by Tom "durrrr" Dwan to the entire poker world!
This online poker wonder and high stakes player has offered to put up $1.5 million against any accepting opponent's $500K in heads-up play at a total of four simultaneous tables for 50,000 hands! At the end of the 50,000-hand play, if the challenger is ahead of the rake by as much as $1, Dwan will pay them $1.5 Million. When you do the math, it could equal quite a winning bankroll for a skillful (or lucky) opponent as well as a major loss for "durrrr." A winning challenger could walk away with $1.5 million for risking $500,000! Of course, if "durrrr" wins, he will keep his $1.5 million plus the challenger's $500,000 as well as any money he may win during the challenge.
So it is not so amazing that the challenge has already been accepted! For starters, Team Full Tilt's own Phil Ivey has agreed to take "durrrr" up on his three-to-one odds. Phil promises to give "durrr" a run for his money because as everyone knows, Phil is no rookie having managed to take home five WSOP bracelets, all prior to his 30th birthday. In addition, he has won a WPT Championship and has amassed a whopping $10 Million in career tournament earnings.
But Phil is not the only taker on this groundbreaking heads-up challenge. Also ready to do battle is Patrik Antonius, another member of Team Full Tilt, who has won over $2.8 Million in career tournament earnings which encompass 11 WSOP cash finishes, 7 WPT cash finishes and 1 EPT Title! Patrik will be the first challenger going heads-up with "durrrr." A note of high interest is that Antonius reigned victorious over "durrrr" when they competed in the 2009 Aussie Millions Cash Game.
Also jumping into the ring willing to take "durrrr" on will be David Benyamine. David is a French professional high stakes poker player with a WPT Title as well as a total of six WPT cash finishes and career tournament earnings topping $3.1 million.
The players accepting the "durrrr" Challenge must abide by certain conditions including that the game type must be No-Limit Hold ‘em or Pot-Limit Omaha and the stakes must be a minimum of $200/$400. The determined stakes must remain the same throughout the entire challenge and players must reload if chips stacks fall below 75 big blinds at any time.
