Play With Legendary Phil Ivey at Full Tilt Poker

Phil Ivey may currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada, but he makes his online home at Full Tilt Poker where he plays exclusively. Phil grew up in New Jersey. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that he started his pro poker career in Atlantic City. He won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) title in the year 2000 at the ripe old age of 23, when he bested poker brat Phil Hellmuth and poker legend Amarillo Slim in the Pot-Limit Omaha event.

A short two years later, Phil made an unforgettable impression when he won three additional WSOP titles, then took first place in two Bellagio tournaments, a World Poker Open tournament, and two Commerce tournaments. Oh yes, and he also earned his way to the final tables of multiple World Poker Tour (WPT) tournaments. Then, in 2005, Phil made it to the WPT final table twice. Later that same year, he finished in second place in the WSOP Circuit Event that took place at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe and earned an amazing fifth WSOP bracelet in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha WSOP event.

Phil also walked away with some serious money all in one day, when he first won the top prize of $1 million at the Monte Carlo Millions tournament, then topped that off by winning another $600,000 when he took first place in The FullTiltPoker.Net Invitational Live, from Monte Carlo. To prove what a great year Phil had, he was named Player of the Year by All In Magazine, Bluff Magazine, and by the UK Gaming Awards. Three distinctive awards, all received in January of 2006. And, if that was not already enough, when he attended the 2006 WSOP, Phil came in second in the Omaha Hi/Lo event and placed third in the $50,000 HORSE event, winning over $800,000. Then in 2007, he once again made it to the final table in the $5K HORSE WSOP event in 2007, and finished fourth.

But, in February 2008, Phil added a major notch to his belt when he won his first-WPT Championship title at the Los Angeles Poker Classic. He got there by winning his $25,000 entry plus $1.59 million in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold ‘em Championship Event where he outlasted 665 players. Not only did Phil's unprecedented eighth appearance at a WPT final table set a new record, but his major win boosted him into the all-time top10 list for tournament earnings. In less than a decade, Phil has amassed an impressive $10 Million in Career Tournament Earnings.

When he is not at the live poker tables, Phil can be found playing at the tables on Full Tilt Poker. And you can get to know him better when you visit Full Tilt Poker and get in a game with him and if you're lucky, he may just teach you a thing or two about improving your own game!
