The Widgets Have Landed at Full Tilt Poker

What is a widget and why does Full Tilt Poker now have them? In computer programming, a widget (or control) is an element of a graphical user interface that displays an information arrangement changeable by the user, such as a window or a text box. And Full Tilt has them to enhance your poker playing experience!

In their quest to ever improve, Full Tilt Poker has launched a host of new features and options designed to add to the fun of playing poker online – including widgets.

By using Full Tilt Poker’s handy new Lobby Widgets you can now retrieve information about your account in a flash. Stats such as your Full Tilt Points balance and all your favorite games at a glance are now a mouse click away thanks to widgets.

The Lobby Widgets are conveniently located on the right side of the Standard View game lobby, just under the Full Tilt Poker game clock. One cool way to customize your widgets is by setting up your Mini-Cashier. This feature gives you the ability to view your Cashier information to see your real money available balance, the amount in play and the total of your real money account. In addition, the Mini-Cashier contains an easy access Deposit button that allows you to add more funds without having to open the Cashier.

Another handy feature is the FTP Odometer Widget. This tool allows players to keep close track of the amount of Full Tilt Points earned in a specified time frame. The best part is that you select when to start tracking your points by defining the date and time to begin the Full Tilt Point tracking. And you can simply click the Reset button to clear the counter and start tracking points again from zero! This is way cool for those players keeping track of Leaderboard or bonus points!

The Session Information Widget offers you information at a glance about your current playing session. Easily display your account balance, your Full Tilt Points earned and the number of hands you have played during your current playing session.

If you happen to be attending the Full Tilt Poker Academy to learn about the game of poker or to sharpen your skills, there is also the FTP Academy Challenge Status widget. This handy widget allows you to track your progress in any Full Tilt Poker Academy challenge. Just remember that challenge progress is updated as quickly as possible and ring game tasks can take up to two hours to fully report, whereas Sit & Go and tournament tasks can take up to one and one-half hours after the end of a tournament to fully register. Not currently attending the academy? Then be sure to visit Full Tilt Poker to find out how to begin your poker education!

Promotion specific widgets are also available, like the Iron Man Status Widget, designed for use by all Full Tilt Poker Iron Men. This tool allows you to track your progress in the Iron Man Challenge to keep a close eye on where you stand in the competition. With this widget you will get up to date need-to-know information on points earned toward your desired Iron Man status. For all you Iron men, you can understand that this means you won’t have to reload your personal Iron Man page just to check to see how many points you’ve earned, because the information will now be available right in the Full Tilt Poker lobby!

Best of all, customizing your widgets is a fun and simple task - from the Standard View of the Full Tilt Poker game lobby. Simply click the Customize button at the bottom right of the Standard View game lobby and you will be taken to the Customize Lobby Widgets window. Here is where you can choose to enable or disable any Widget, as well as the order of how you view the Widgets in the game lobby. Then just click OK to save your work. From the game lobby you can expand the window vertically to see more widgets at the same time, or just click the arrow buttons at the right side of the lobby to scroll through each widget.

Visit Full Tilt Poker to learn all about cool new Lobby Widgets and put them to use today!
